in late may we visited nsassi village, 2 hours north of the capital city, kampala. our trip was filled with hope and optimism as we distributed over 250 blankets in 7 days to mothers of newborns. we worked closely with our NGO partner, shanti uganda to help organize and facilitate distribution with integrity. during a brief registration and orientation process, health workers introduce the blanket and explain the information it contains. for more information about shanti uganda and the great work they are doing, visit www.shantiuganda.org.
